Seeing as summer is now in full swing and we are getting ready to announce this years January trip details, we wanted to let you know what you can expect from us this year at snow…
“Each year UEA Snow has grown, surpassing the previous in terms of number of people taken on trip, to competitions and out on socials. This year we are going to rebuild the community of snow loving students, taking another record amount of people with us on our January trip to the French Alps.
This year to create and maintain a close-knit community feel we are running joint sessions at the dryslope for both skiers and snowboarders and will begin regularly attending sports nights (as well as our regular socials).
We will also be electing fresher representatives, to increase the clubs profile and to make sure that more freshers than ever get involved with the club. Our new position of Membership Representative will not only be focusing on freshers, but also healthcare students and postgrads as much as possible as we aim to cater for all.
Alongside our January trip we will also be running a smaller Easter trip, for those that cannot attend the January trip and for those who wish to join us on the mountains again!
If you’re looking for a new sport, you can come and take lessons with us at the dry slope and attend tasters. If you’re looking to join a sports team than you can join us for regular training (again at the dryslope) and compete with us in Edinburgh (BUDS) and at Milton Keynes (BUiSC). If you’re looking for a more casual second club to get involved with alongside your main sport, then you can join us at your leisure, be it on socials, visits to Snowzone, or our January trip for the best week of your university life.”
And whilst you are at it, check out our new committee profiles.
